Connect Notion
Quelvo connects to your Notion workspace through Notion's official OAuth integration. You stay in full control — you choose exactly which databases Quelvo can see, and you can revoke access at any time from either Quelvo or your Notion settings.
Connect your first workspace
Open Workspaces in the dashboard
From the left sidebar, click Workspaces, then Connect Notion.
Pick which databases to share
Notion shows you a list of pages and databases. Tick every database you might want to include in portals. You can always come back and grant access to more databases later — but databases you don't tick here won't be available until you do.
Allow access
Click Allow access. Notion returns you to Quelvo, where the workspace appears in your list with a green "Connected" indicator.
What Quelvo can see
Only the databases you explicitly tick during setup. Quelvo cannot access pages or databases you didn't select — even if they're in the same workspace. You can revoke access to individual databases from the Notion settings under My connections → Quelvo → Access.
"I don't see the database I want"
The most common cause is that the database wasn't shared with the Quelvo integration when you went through the OAuth flow. To fix it:
Open the database in Notion
Navigate to the database directly (not just its parent page — Notion treats them separately).
Open the Share menu
Click Share in the top-right corner of the page.
Add the Quelvo integration
Type Quelvo in the invite box and select it from the dropdown. Click Invite.
Refresh Quelvo
Return to the Quelvo dashboard. The database should now appear when you add a database to a portal.
Reconnecting after revoking access
If you revoked Quelvo's access from Notion, or need to reset the connection for any reason, go to Workspaces in the dashboard and click Reconnect. This reruns the OAuth flow so you can re-select which databases to share.
Disconnect a workspace
To remove the connection entirely: open Workspaces, find the workspace, and click Disconnect.
Disconnecting pauses your portals
Any portal built from that workspace will stop loading data until you reconnect. Clients will see a "portal unavailable" message in the meantime. Your portal configuration (columns, clients, filters) is preserved — reconnecting restores everything.
Multiple Notion workspaces
You can connect more than one Notion workspace to Quelvo. Each portal is built from a single workspace, but different portals can come from different workspaces — useful if you're an agency working across several client Notion accounts.
Plan limits:
- Starter: 1 connected workspace
- Pro: 1 connected workspace
- Agency: up to 3 connected workspaces
How Quelvo uses the connection
Quelvo stores your Notion access token encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM). It uses the token to:
- Read rows from the databases you share in portals
- Read page content (blocks) when a client opens a detail view
- Write back values when a client edits a cell (if inline editing is enabled on that column)
- Create new rows when a client submits a form
Quelvo never reads databases you haven't explicitly shared, and never performs writes outside of the above actions.
